I know I have been slacking with my posts this season but... well... I'm
lazy. Regardless, I thought I should post some pictures from my latest
trip. Back in December I was chosen to go on a helo ride to the Italian
base (Mario Zucchelli) to pick up some mission critical cargo that had
been diverted there due to weather. Unfortunately, we had to turn around
halfway into the flight due because of a fog bank that moved in suddenly,
but I still got some good aerial shots. We flew near the ice edge and
saw a few seals and a large iceberg, but the highlight of the trip had to
be watching hundreds of penguins jump in/out of the water. This isn't the Kwajalein post I promised but maybe next time.
